The MIA-Vamil scheme is a scheme of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment to encourage environmentally friendly investments. With the MIA, an entrepreneur can benefit from an investment deduction of up to 36% of the investment amount. This is in addition to the usual investment deduction. The Vamil offers the possibility to write off 75% of the investment costs. Eligible investments can be found on the 2019 Environmental List.

One of these investments is the purchase of a Greenwall. Thus, entrepreneurs who invest in a green Greenwall can benefit from the scheme.

Wall Vegetation System

Published on: December 10, 2019

a. intended for: reducing noise pollution and promoting breeding, shelter or foraging opportunities for animals by means of a wall vegetation system with double-sided vegetation, where the metal frame is protected in such a way that no substances leach into the soil,

b. consisting of: a protective metal frame, hemp, double-sided vegetation and may or may not include the following components: irrigation piping and nesting facilities.

The asset is eligible for environmental investment deduction for up to € 150 per square meter.
